A HUGE THANKS TO MY NEIGHBOR TO THE NORTH

A HUGE THANKS TO MY NEIGHBOR TO THE NORTH

And this time, I’m not talking about Canada. But the state of Maryland. Which is only a 20 minutes drive from Annandale, VA going through 495. So close but can be a different world in people and politics. Maryland has become the 2nd state in the nation to ban the sale of dogs and cats in pet stores. I’ve read the articles, I’ve read the arguments. They don’t add up to keep them. They try sneaky ways to stop it. Its all in the name of profit. You apply their logic to other businesses and I’m sure they would not agree. There are only 7 pet stores in Maryland. Is that truly going to hurt small businesses in the state economy if they shut down? Probably not. You hit one, you hit them all? Yeah I would like to if its pet stores.

Its not moral, its not right, its wrong, its wrong. Theres no way around it. Greed can be a big driver, I get it. You shut down a clothing store because they source there production facilities using child labor. Are you taking away jobs from that town or country? Are you putting families at risk? Are you preventing the right for buyers to chose where they get their clothes from? In the whole view and aspect of things, lets cut the bullshit. Those things don’t matter if it comes at the harm of children. Just like the pet store business comes at the price of the pets. Lets move on. Lets learn. Lets make every state to do the same.
